Goodbye Prague!

Rok se chýlí ke konci a s ním i moje tříměsíční žití v Praze.

Velké DÍKY všem sparring partnerům z Krčáku, Kerteamu i výběhů na Vyšehrad, panu trenérovi Kervitcerovi a v neposlední řadě panu trenérovi Tišerovi a BC Žižkov.

Byly to skvělé tři měsíce, snad zas někdy v budoucnu!

Po Novém roce běhám opět v Brně.

První běhání ve sněhu na mě čekalo na Vysočině.

5. prosince se do Herálce sjela česká orienťácká reprezentace, abychom společně potrénovali a připravili se na úspěšné vkročení do nového roku.

Běh Hronov-Náchod

Další krásný podzimní víkend a další pěkné závody za mnou. Zkusit se má všechno, tak tentokrát jsem i já šla trhat asfalt. V sobotu 26.10. se konal legendární silniční běh Hronov-Náchod ze seriálu Mizuno Running Cupu - 8,85km se startem ve východočeském Hronově a s cílem na náměstí v Náchodě.

Silnice, 8km, neodvažuju se přemýšlet, jak to bude vypadat. Začátek celkem palba, pod 3.50'/km dobrý, ale vydržim to, kdo mě bude v polovině křísit? Vzpomínám na celé dva tempové tréninky s Kerteamem ve Stromovce a 'logicky' usuzuju, že když zvládnu 6km v tempu, tak musim zvládnout přece i 8 (těch zbylých 850m mozku a nohám úspěšně zatajuju už od začátku). Martinku Uvizlovou chtě nechtě pouštím, ale to už se přede mě dostává Danča Havránková a přichází moje další 'logika': je sice rychlejší, ale ve středu jsem to za ní ve Stromovce uvisela, tak to zvládnu i teď. Velký dík patří právě jí - krásný krok a ideální tempo. Jen slibuju, že po dalších trénincích budu příště i střídat, tentokrát to pro mě byl vyšší level, na který jsem neměla. Ale čas 34:17 a 12. místo v ženách mezi atletkami je supr, takže už i já umím trhat asfalt a příště snad dojde i na to střídání.

Malá Cena Špindlerova Mlýna

Stýská se mi po krásném podzimu ve Švédsku, tak je potřeba s tím něco udělat a začít si ho užívat i v ČR. I proto mířím v sobotu 19.10. do Špindlu na běh do vrchu.

Moje premiéra v tomhle závodě, z propozic se dozvídám, že se běží asi třikrát dole přes náměstí ve Špindlu, a že povrchem je silnice. Beru svoje silniční NewBalance a se slovy "výborně, tak já jedu do Krkonoš točit na silnici" se vydávám vstříc zábavě. Na prezentaci dostávám plánek trati - hm, že mají na sjezdovkách asfalt jsem fakt netušila, ale v domnění, že to bude nejspíš zpevněná cesta podél, obouvám svoje silničky.

Tak po asfaltu byla stěží třetina trati, NewBalancky se překvapivě držely i na mokré trávě po sjezdovkách dolů, nahoru to zas překvapivě držely moje nohy. Místy to byl pořádnej terén a v jednom seběhu bych brala orientky všema deseti. Takže namísto toho, že bych jela do Krkonoš lízat asfalt, jsem poznala další brutální a nádherný horský kros. Celkem 14km se 794m převýšení, včetně závěrečného výběhu/výšlapu půlky sjezdovky na Medvědín.

After missing Sweden with its beautiful autumn, I found the beauty of the Czech Rep. again - in the mountains with a brutally beautiful trail race.

I enjoyed the whole race so much!
..and that's the moment when you start to worry about your mental health (but I already stopped doing that when I finished 62km race in August this year, so I'm fine)

25MANNA

Short visit to Sweden to run famous 25-manna team relay on October 12th (and 13th).
And it was another pleasant weekend spent with SNO!

After few major mistakes done we ended on the 9th place, but we definitely don't lose hopes for the next year competition and of course for 10Mila and Jukola.

WORLDCUP in Baden (SUI)

October 4th to 6th I was participating in o-events in Baden, Switzerland. On Friday 4th we ran mixed sprint relay in the northern part of Baden. It was great chance to train this kind of race, as it is officialy a new o-discipline and it's a part of the WOC 2014 program in Italy.

Two races of the WorldCup series were held that weekend, middle distance on Saturday and final sprint race on Sunday. Both competitions were really nice! The big part of the middle was in a technical rocky part of the map, which made the course quite challenging. The sprint that combined terrains of old town and park was super nice and also tricky with plenty of stairs and multilevel crossings that required fast and right routechoice decisions. With all the people cheering, perfect organization and great atmosphere swiss o-races were again a pleasant experience!

As for my performance, unfortunately I have nothing positive to say this time.

Simply put, I screwed it up. And the gap between me and the best onces was once again really visible.

Anyway, life goes on and I'm really looking forward to pushing it harder and better in the coming training period. But firstly I'm excited to run 2nd leg at swedish 25manna team relay with SNO this weekend!

Simone Niggli ending her pro o-career with style!

On the Axpo mixed sprint relay we tested new SportIdent Air+ (Touch-Free) punching devices that allow you to run more fluently, not really stopping by the control point. It was cool. Let's see if it will be used in the near future.

GOLD in the end of the season

MČR/Czech Champs in relay and teams were held on 28th and 29th September
in Ski areal Brizky.

And WE DID IT!

In the relay team we all did a good runs and I was so happy that I could stand on the first place with my team runners Iveta Duchová and Martina Zvěřinová. The feeling was even more amazing as the second team from our club got the bronz medal. Which meant that we finally stood on the big podium together with my sis!

Unfortunately we weren't that successful the next day in the team competition and we ended up on the 4th place. As it is, we weren't as good as the winning teams this time and we also didn't have any world champion at the disposal as others did. Still I can say we made a good performance and 4th place is a nice result for us. Little more training and team preparation and we will come stronger next year!

MČR / CZECH CHAMPS LONG DISTANCE

Last weekend the Czech championship on long distance was held in Rejvíz.

I took the 4th place.

Although I already had a few 4th places from Czech champs and they never jingle and shine like medals do, in the end I was happy to stand on that position. I made mistakes in the forest and champions simply either don't make them or they are that ahead of the others physically that they can afford to make them. But knowing that I'm on the right path is what makes me happy now.

I've learned from the foiled competition two weeks ago and this time I was able to stand on the start line fully prepared physically and above all mentaly:)

So let's rock the next weekend!
